Drawing at Walker Foundation Gallery

The artwork of George Tsutakawa
An earlier Northwest artist, it was quite interesting visiting this gallery and taking in the pieces of George Tsutakawa. I especially like his work that depicts early neighborhoods around Seattle.

my drawings

I walked around the exhibit sketching bits of things from various works in light pencil. Later I inked them in to create the pen and ink piece shown above.
I loved another piece in the gallery – a wood sculpture by Stephen Dunthorne titled Torso, from 1962. My pencil drawing was composed by drawing it three times, first from the front, and then from each side. Later I added the background graphics just for fun.
