I love to challenge myself to see things in a different way, often by looking for movement and detail in objects in the environment without attempting to create a realistic impression of them. This frees the mind up to other possibilities.

The ink drawing and the vector outline rendering

For this piece I was fascinated by the movement in the twisted old dead trees along the walk, supported by the marshy areas surrounding them. The drawing was first sketched in pencil, then rendered in ink. Lastly I scanned that drawing and created a vector image of it, allowing me to add a color palette to it.
